Felt is the fastest-growing category in the jute industry, and most of that growth is downstream of buyers in markets that didn't exist twenty years ago — automotive nonwoven, eco-building insulation and biodegradable horticulture. The fibre's combination of high strength-to-weight, natural biodegradability, and acoustic damping makes it a credible alternative to synthetic nonwovens in environments where the end-of-life of the product matters as much as its performance in use.
The range we cover — 330 g/m² up to 1000 g/m² — is the working span used by every category from lightweight mulch through structural geotextile. Density tolerance is the spec that varies most between mills, which is why we run the sample-first workflow harder here than anywhere else on the catalogue.
What we do for you
For automotive and acoustic insulation we source from mills running consistent density bands and ship samples for compression and acoustic testing before booking production. Die-cut and panel cuts handled at the mill where volume warrants — keeps secondary handling costs out of the landed price.
